Strasbourg - Christmas Illuminations

Illuminations de Noel is how you say is how you say 'Christmas lights' in French.   And 'illuminated' is what Strasbourg definitely was and is this month of December.   I think the local light bill must be competing with Paris for kilowatt hours.

You can follow the decorations through the city from one street market to the next, and follow them back if you get lost.  Here's a selection of Ed's night shots:

Strasbourg even without a lot of Christmas lights looks pretty good at night along the river.

The small streets leading to the Place de la Cathédrale are all lit up in different styles

and the cathedral itself is illuminated, towering about the market stands.

and my favorite blue true at Place Gutenberg
